Inspired by the wildflower of the same name growing in my garden. Did you know that bachelor’s button takes its name from an old custom of unmarried men tucking the flower into their coat buttonholes. Folklore held that a fresh bloom signaled faithful affection, while a fading flower hinted at a love not returned.

Dyed on: Shaniko Shine: 80% USA Shaniko, 20% Mulberry Silk. Everything you love about soft and fine Shaniko wool, but with the added luster of luxe Mulberry Silk.

I’m always aiming to offer as much local, traceable, USA based wool as I can and I’m so happy to be able to offer this wool!
Shaniko Wool Co. is located right here in Oregon and was the first ranch in the world to become RWS certified (Responsible Wool Standards). They partner directly with ranchers to provide completely traceable American branded wool. It is grown, sheared, scoured, and combed in the US. The wool is 20.4 micron, and comes from Merino, Merino/Rambouillet sheep.
